The Angler's Ace Blood Knot Tool will produce a strong blood knot quickly & easily whether at the rivers edge or at the workbench. Commercial leaders are constructed with a .021 dia. butt section. By using the Angler's Ace you can improve on that by using a more manageable diameter such as 17# (.016 dia.) and build from there. By making one tag end of the knot extra long,a dropper can be added to the leader providing the opportunity for a second fly or hook. This is a proven method used by many anglers.
Whether using monofilament or fluorocarbon to craft that tapered leader, the Angler's Ace provides the way and means to build a tapered leader at a substantial cost savings.
The Angler's Ace fits easily in a shirt or fishing vest pocket. It's small (credit card size) lightweight, and buoyant. Tie custom leaders for fly fishing and save some money. The Angler's Ace is great for all types of fishing and excellent for quickly adding tippet on those cold mornings on the river. The Angler's Ace Blood Knot Tool comes in four different colors, Green,Black,Blue & Red. Each tool comes with complete instructions & a 100% money back guarantee. Please note the desired color in the "Message to Seller" area of the Paypal transaction.

When connecting leader to leader,most fishermen prefer to use the blood knot. Although difficult to tie by hand,it's strength and ability to connect leaders in a straight line out-weighs that problem.
With the Angler's Ace it's quick and easy to fabricate tapered leaders to your own specs.
Included with the Angler's Ace and located on the end opposite the logo is a lube patch which should be used to make strong,easily formed knots.
This lube will greatly reduce the friction and abrasion developed when knotting monofilament. Using saliva or water is not sufficient lube to form a strong blood knot.
Attempts to join leaders that differ in diameter by more than .003 of an inch should be avoided.
Below are some examples that have been successful;
17lb./test (.016) to 12lb./test (.013) 12lb./test (.013) to 8lb./test (.010)
8lb./ test (.010) to 3x
3x to 4x and 4x to 5x etc.
The tool was recently updated to incorporate rubber pad line retainers instead of springs. These pads handle larger line easier while still maintaining grip on smaller lines.
